Paintball Markers And War

by Lyle Curtis on May.23, 2010, under Paintball

Absolutely, no more turning back. The action is surely an open call for both amateurs and professionals. However, here is one thing; you have to strike the opponent just before he hits you first with paintball markers. Regardless of whether you fail or win in doing that, welcome to the world of paintball!

Paintball game is an activity that does not only requires a fill of your mental alertness rather it also challenges your physical strength since it is a sport which requires running, hiding and more importantly, hitting your goal- your attacker.

The game was first introduced in 1981 in New Hampshire. The conception of it was attributed to Hayes Noel, Bob Gurnsey and Charles Gaines who were all friends and who had the passion for experiencing adrenaline rush. All of them were inspired from Gaines’ encounter of hunting buffalo when he went to Africa. From then on, unexpectedly, the game became renowned throughout the globe, as it evolved from a simple hunting game into a grand makeshift war activity.

Paintball markers which are commonly called as paintball guns are instruments used to hit the opponent. They have hoppers where the markers are loaded with ammunition. The ammunition or the paintballs are gelatin capsules which have polyethylene glycol, non-toxic water-soluble substances and dye. Players are required to wear masks or goggles and other protective gears on the field when playing to avoid injuries.

There are only a few set of rules to remember in paintball and they are usually announced just before the sport starts. The most basic rule is that the player should attempt to hit the target before the target does it. Whenever a player achieves the aim, the opponent must lift the marker to show a particular point or perhaps the end of the game. Various other rules like the minimum distance, overshooting, ramping and wiping are expected to be observed while on the battlefield. Lowest distance is the arranged distance which is usually twenty-five feet where the opponent are prohibited to shoot at one another nearer compared to set range.

Each time a player is hit with the marker yet remains to play the action or an eliminated player constantly shoots the adversary; this is an incident whereby the referee calls for overshooting. Overshooting is strictly prohibited so as to make sure the security of the gamers. Ramping, which means elevating its rate of fire is more often than not prohibited in the action. However, in number of tournaments it is permitted. Wiping is considered as cheating in paintball. This is done when the player wipes the marker on oneself so as not be disqualified in the game.

To become a good paintball player, you have to treat paintball markers as your best friend. You need to make them your second nature. Be cautious though and remember: “one man’s carelessness will be the other man’s benefit.”

Fire the objective decisively while aiming with your paintball markers. but one paintball at any given time. Better to place yourself in the shoe of a true soldier. His life is only what he has and he is very conscious that anytime it might be at stake. He then, takes the chance because that is what goes on in a war.

You love to play paintball and want to target your opponents with wonderful equipments that make you effective and efficient as you play the game. You have paintball markers for this purpose. Or you may want to try paintball gear.

Paintball guns can easily be converted into the real thing …

Meanwhile, the (ATF) is already in the know of the airsoft’s possible abuse. However, the guns continue to be sold in stores around the country, and it appears to be bowing to critics and reconsidering its stance on the guns’ convertibility.

“We’re having to take a serious look at this, so it’s just something that we’re reviewing, and I’m hoping we’ll have some information that we can make available to the public certainly very soon,” ATF spokesman Drew Wade told FoxNews.com.

Commercial considerations are also responsible for the unregulated sale of these guns, the U.S. is such a big market for these airsoft guns, Gonnuscio said, a foreign manufacture would change the product if its current design were banned here.

“There are tons of good uses for these guns: We use them for training, kids do reenacting with them, kids get out there and play just like the old days. So let them have their toys.

“Just make sure they’re still toys,” he adds as a word of caution. (ANI)

Is Airsoft Better Than Paintball? | Glock Gun

by on May.16, 2010, under http://realxtremepaintball.com

This question is bound to stir debate and controversy amongst the most ardent of airsoft or paintball fans.

Both airsoft and paintball are both hobbies based on replica firearms and wargames. Is this unhealthy? That depends moreso on the person themselves rather than the hobby. An interest in pursuing a hobby that involves weaponry only becomes unhealthy if taken to extremes – which is true of most things in life. Paintball and airsoft are not morbid hobbies and only run the risk of being dangerous when participated in by dangerous people.

Paintball itself is a more mobile sport. It requires a certain level of physical fitness, mobility and skill – if you paintball then you gotta be able to move fast. The weapons themselves are functional and are only designed to serve the purpose of the sport as opposed to looking good. Paintball rifles are designed to take a real beating when it comes to their use. Paintball fans fall into the ‘extreme sport’ category and enjoy the pure adrenaline of each paintball match and are driven by the desire to win.

Airsoft is a somewhat different sport. The guns used in airsoft are both conversation pieces and are also functional sports ‘weapons’. Airsoft rifles and pistols are capable of firing both small plastic pellets and paint filled pellets so are useful both in the sport itself and also for backyard target practice.

The major difference is the power of the guns themselves. Paintball guns are driven by high powered gas cylinders whereas airsoft guns fire projectiles either through springs, electronic firing mechanisms or with compressed gas. The issue is that most airsoft guns lack the range and accuracy of the larger paintball guns simply because they were never designed with long range fire in mind.

Conversely airsoft guns are available in a huge range of styles and models. Everything from a Glock
